Hanover Conference and Heritage Center Looking for a Few Good Events
After several years of planning, decision-making and envisioning, the Hanover Conference and Heritage Center is officially open and looking for great events to make use of the renovated 8,000 square foot space. The old Wachovia Bank Building at 22 Carlisle St. has been transformed into a modern retail space and conference center. The building will house several retail tenants including an arcade, a coffee shop and a video game store. The conference space will be located on the building’s first floor.
According to the building’s owner, Scott Roland, several years ago he and others interested in promoting downtown Hanover decided that the area was lacking a modern conference facility that could accommodate groups of up to 500 people. The conference space is starting to get some action, recently for a Rotary luncheon and the York County Rail Authority held events there. Roland said the venue would be perfect for business conferences, antique shows, model train shows and for nearly any other event that aims to bring together large groups of people.
