The Lancaster Brass Quintet made its debut in 1982 and has been active in the musical community of central Pennsylvania since that time. Performing music brought to the forefront by such renowned ensembles as the Empire Brass and the Canadian Brass, the Lancaster Brass Quintet is available for concerts, church services, weddings and virtually any other event. These professional musicians epitomize the art of music making and perform a wide variety of literature, including jazz, show tunes, sacred music, marches and original works for brass.
Scott Ainscough, trumpet, is the Director of Bands at Cumberland Valley High School (Mechanicsburg, PA). Scott received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from West Chester University (PA), has done graduate work at The Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree from Messiah College.
Melanie Miller, trumpet, serves as Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Messiah College (Grantham, PA). Melanie received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Business from Wheaton College (IL) and a Master of Music degree in Applied Trumpet from the University of New Mexico.
Anne Nye, horn, is a freelance horn and piano player in the Lancaster area and also teaches adjunct horn lessons at Lancaster Bible College. Anne earned a degree in French Horn Performance from the Wheaton Conservatory of Music near Chicago, Illinois.
Tracy Burke, trombone, is a Partner and Certified Financial Planner® with Conrad Siegel Investment Advisors (Harrisburg, PA). Tracy earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance/Music Education from Ithaca College (NY) and a Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from the University of North Texas (Denton, TX).
Gerald D. Heilner, II, bass trombone, works at the Elizabethtown office of the Weaver Insurance Group. A founding member of The Lancaster Brass Quintet, Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Millersville State College.
